Why did my saved TikToks disappear?
The short answer: a saved TikTok vanishes when the person who made it deletes the video, sets their account to private, or the video is removed by TikTok. Your Favourites list only ever pointed at the creator's copy — TikTok never kept one for you — so when theirs disappears, yours does too. Below: how to tell what happened, what you can and can't recover, and how to stop it happening to the videos you actually care about.
The real reasons saved TikToks vanish
- The creator deleted the video. The most common one. Your save was a link to their post; delete the post and the save goes dark.
- The creator went private or was banned. If their account turns private (or TikTok removes it), everything of theirs drops out of your saves.
- TikTok removed the video. If a video breaks community guidelines and gets taken down, it leaves everyone's saves at once.
- You're on a different account. Saves are per-account. If you're logged into another profile than the one you saved on, your list looks empty.
Notice what's not on that list: you didn't do anything wrong, and there's no button you forgot to press. The saves disappeared because they were never really yours to keep — they lived on someone else's post.
What you can (and can't) get back
- Deleted or removed by the creator/TikTok → gone. Honestly, there's no way to recover it from TikTok. The file isn't sitting anywhere in your account.
- Whole list suddenly empty → probably a glitch. Check you're on the right account, then log out and back in. A display hiccup is recoverable; a deleted video isn't.
- Remember the creator? If you know whose video it was, open their profile — if it's still up, you can re-save it. If their page is gone, so is the video.
How to stop it happening: keep your own copy
The only real fix is to stop depending on someone else's post staying online. That's what MemRa is for. When you forward a video to MemRa, it transcribes what was actually said and shown and keeps a searchable record of that — so even if the creator later deletes the original, you can still find what was in it by asking in your own words:
- "that TikTok about fixing a leaking tap"
- "the garlic pasta recipe I saved last month"
- "the budgeting video with the 50/30/20 rule"
One honest caveat: MemRa can only keep what it saw. Forward a video while it's still up and its content is preserved for you; if you try to import something a creator has already deleted, there's nothing left for anyone to fetch. The fix is to save the ones that matter to MemRa now — across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube — instead of trusting they'll still be there later.

FAQ
Why did my saved TikToks disappear?
A saved TikTok disappears when the creator deletes the video, sets their account to private, or the video is removed by TikTok. Your Favourites only linked to the creator's copy, so when theirs goes, yours does too — TikTok doesn't keep a separate copy for you.
Can I get a deleted saved TikTok back?
If the creator deleted it or was removed, no — it's gone from TikTok and can't be recovered. If your whole saved list looks empty, first check you're on the right account and try logging out and back in, as that's sometimes just a display glitch.
How do I stop my saved TikToks from disappearing?
Save the ones you care about to a tool that keeps its own record. If you forward a video to MemRa, it transcribes what was said and keeps a searchable copy of that, so even if the creator later deletes the original you can still find what was in it.
Where did my saved TikTok videos go on my profile?
They're on your Profile under the bookmark icon, in the Videos tab (private to you). If videos are missing from there, they were most likely deleted or made private by their creators rather than removed by you.
