Import your TikTok saves

MemRa is much more useful with your existing TikTok history in it. Otherwise you sign up, save one video, and the inbox is empty — not great. This page walks you through pulling your TikTok favourites + likes out of the TikTok app so we can import them into your MemRa account.

Takes about 2 minutes of tapping in the TikTok app, then a wait of up to 48 hours for TikTok to prepare your file. We'll do the actual import once you send us the file.

🎬 Video walkthrough coming soon. We’re putting together a short screen recording of these steps.
What we import: everything you saved in the last 2 months. Older items tend to be either dated, deleted by the creator, or just not what you'd come back to — and the AI summary + tagging cost adds up across thousands of items. If you specifically want a longer window, drop us a note in the same email and we'll do it manually.

In the TikTok app on your phone

  1. Tap Profile at the bottom-right

From anywhere in TikTok, open your profile.

TikTok feed, Profile tab in bottom nav
  2. Tap the ☰ menu at the top-right

    TikTok Profile page, hamburger top-right
  3. Tap Settings and privacy

It's at the bottom of the side menu, under "Creation & business tools".

TikTok side menu, Settings and privacy
  4. Tap Account

    Under the "Account" section heading.

    Settings and privacy, Account row
  5. Tap Download your data

    Account settings, Download your data
  6. On the Request data tab — do all three of these

① Pick JSON as the format
② Tick Likes and Favorites (deselect everything else if it's not already)
③ Tap Request data at the bottom

Download TikTok data: JSON format + Likes and Favorites + Request data

TikTok will say "request submitted". You can leave the app now — it takes anywhere from a few minutes up to 48 hours for them to prepare your file. You'll get a notification when it's ready.

Want us to nudge you when it's likely ready?

We'll email you once every 24 hours, up to 5 emails, then stop. The reminder auto-stops the moment you upload. Sign-in required.

  7. When TikTok says it's ready, come back here and switch to the Download data tab — tap Download

Same path: Profile → ☰ → Settings and privacy → Account → Download your data. This time switch the tab from Request data to Download data and tap the red Download button on the most recent request.

Download data tab, Download button on the active request

You'll end up with a .zip file on your phone called something like TikTok_Data_xxxxxxxxxx.zip. The link expires after 4 days so don't sit on it.

Upload your file

Got the .zip on your device? Sign in to MemRa and upload it here:

📦 Upload TikTok zip →

Upload happens straight away; the AI summarisation runs in the background and items appear in your inbox over the next few minutes. We only import items you haven't already saved by forwarding, so you can keep using the WhatsApp flow at the same time without creating duplicates. Safe to re-upload — duplicates are skipped automatically.

Stuck on a phone with no easy way to upload? Email the zip to memra@dostumamigo.com from your registered email address and we'll import it manually.

FAQ

Why both Likes and Favorites?

Different people use different buttons. The heart (Like) is casual, the bookmark (Favorite) is deliberate "I'll come back to this". We import both so you don't miss anything. If you only want the bookmarks, untick Likes when generating the file.

What if my data is huge?

The TikTok JSON is text-only — even years of saves usually come in well under 10MB. No attachment-size issues for normal email.

What about Instagram / YouTube history?

Instagram is ready — see Import your Instagram saves. YouTube is coming; the same general idea — request your data from the platform, send us the file.

Will every video definitely make it in?

Almost all — but some videos may have been deleted by the creator, gone private, or had their share-page taken down between when you saved them and when we import. Those will show as "couldn't preview" cards with just the URL — still searchable, still in your inbox, just no thumbnail/title.
